Editorial Policy

The editorial standard is tested, practical, and honest rather than exhaustive.

How guides are written

  • Country guides are editorially reviewed and updated over time. Where firsthand travel experience informs a guide, its review notes say so.
  • The goal is not to cover every possible stop, but to explain what holds up in a real trip.
  • Guides are allowed to include drawbacks, friction points, and overhyped elements when they matter.

How destinations are framed

  • The writing is aimed at independent travellers.
  • The voice stays practical, calm, and specific.
  • Recommendations are not sold as universal or algorithmically personalised.

How listings can change or be removed

  • Places and suggestions can be updated, archived, or removed when facts materially change.
  • No listing is kept because of a commercial relationship, and no listing is removed to promote another.
  • Meaningful removals and factual corrections are logged in the public corrections ledger.
