When is the best time to visit Australia?
There is no single best month for all of Australia. Queensland humidity, southern summers, Tasmanian weather, Red Centre heat, WA seasons and bushfire risk all pull the trip in different directions.
Answer
Australia is too large for one neat season answer. Southern cities can be lively in warmer months, but heat and school-holiday pressure matter. Tropical Queensland and the Top End have their own wet, humidity and marine considerations. Tasmania can be beautiful but changeable. The Red Centre punishes careless heat planning, while WA’s best timing depends on which part of the state you mean. Start with the region and the experience — reef, road trip, city, outback, hiking — then choose the month around that.
