When is the best time to visit Indonesia?
There is no single best month for all of Indonesia. Bali, Java, Lombok, Komodo, Sumatra and Raja Ampat have different rain, sea and visibility patterns, so choose the region first and the season second.

Indonesia is too large and too maritime for one tidy weather answer. Bali and Java do not behave exactly like Raja Ampat, Komodo, Sumatra or Sulawesi, and the difference matters when boats, diving, volcano views and beach days are involved. A trip built around temples and food can tolerate different weather than a trip built around ferries, reefs or mountain views. The practical move is to choose the region first, then check what that season means for rain, sea conditions, visibility, heat and transport. Do not force the same Indonesia itinerary into every month and expect the islands to cooperate.
