Is Goa worth adding to an India itinerary?
Goa is worth it when you want a pause from inland intensity, beach time or a social coast. It is less convincing when added out of obligation to a short culture-heavy trip.

Goa can be exactly what an India itinerary needs: sea air, slower mornings, cafés, churches, seafood, nightlife or a few days when nobody is asking you to see another fort. It can also feel like a detour if your trip is really about Rajasthan, Varanasi, Kerala or the Himalayas. The key is choosing the part of Goa that matches the holiday you want. A party base, a quieter beach, an old-town stay and a longer coastal break are not the same trip. Add Goa deliberately, not as automatic relief.
