Serbia’s best nature is worth adding when you give it a distinct role, not when you try to collect every park. Tara and the Uvac area are the clearest western-Serbia choices, with forest, canyon viewpoints and routes that can pair naturally with places such as Zlatibor or Mokra Gora. Đerdap makes more sense when the Danube and eastern Serbia are the point; the scale of the river and gorge gives it a very different feel.
With limited time, choose one nature region and stay long enough to enjoy it. These are not efficient tick-box day trips from Belgrade, and public transport is not always designed around viewpoints and trailheads. A car usually gives the trip more freedom; without one, a carefully chosen tour or transfer can be the difference between a good nature day and a transport exercise.
